FAQ

What is stored in ‘My Library'?

Products are automatically saved to "My Library" after you select "Finish" in the creation process.  You can edit, duplicate, share, or delete your materials from this page.

May I use my own photos?

Currently this is not possible but is a feature we intend to add in the future.  Contact the site administrator if you have a photo you would like added to the system.

I’m only interested in seeing photos that appeal to my population. How do I narrow my photo options?

When you get to the screen with the photo options, choose your population from the “Narrow your options” search box.  After you click the “Apply” button, the photos shown will be narrowed by your search criteria.

May I use my own message?

Currently this is not possible, because all current MIYO messages are audience-tested with industry experts.

I’m only interested in seeing messages that appeal to my population. How do I narrow my message options?

When you get to the screen with the message options, choose your population from the “Narrow your options” search box.  After you click the “Apply” button, the messages shown will be narrowed by your search criteria

I am only interested in messages in Spanish. How do I narrow my choices?

Where messages in Spanish are available, choose 'Spanish' from the "Narrow your options" search box and click "Apply". The only messages shown will be those in Spanish.

I don’t speak Spanish but need to create resources in Spanish. Before choosing a message I need to know what it says. Does MIYO provide Spanish to English translations of its messages?

Yes. Please click the following links to open PDF files containing messages and calls to action in English. Each message has a unique number. Identify the message and/or call to action you want to use. Select that message number at the “Message” and/or “Call to action” steps during the resource creation process. Not all messages are available for all products within the MIYO system.

Is it possible to complete the steps out of order?

Yes it is. Click on the step you are interested in starting with. Please note that the image, message, and/or call to action steps are required steps. If these choices are elements of the template you have chosen, they must be completed before you can "Finish" your creation.

What logo format can I upload to MIYO?

You can upload jpg or png.  If you still experience difficulties, use the "Contact Us" link at the top of the page to request technical assistance.

May I print the resources I create using my office printer?

This will depend on the resource you are creating and the capabilities of your printer. Flyers print to standard 8.5" x 11" paper and should reproduce well on an office color printer. If your printer can use tabloid size paper (11"x17") you should be able to use it to print posters. We recommend having a professional print shop produce inserts, questions cards, and postcards due to the fact that these resources may require special treatment (cuts, duplex printing, and/or special paper). If you have additional questions, use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page to request technical assistance.

Why is the finished poster size 11” x 17” and not larger?

There are two reasons. In our experience, space to place posters is limited, so a smaller poster works best in most locations. More importantly, many office printers can print to 11” x 17” paper. A poster with greater dimensions would have to be sent to a professional print shop that can handle large-format print jobs. Large format printing may require special paper and cuts and this type of printing or fulfillment service can add significant cost to a print job.

I’m going to have my resources printed at my local print shop. What paper size and weight do you recommend for each? Do I need to have the resources cut once printed?

Flyers
Flyers are formatted for 8.5”x11” paper and print 1 per page. We recommend you print flyers on color copy paper that is rated at least 32lb text. Flyers do not require cuts once printed.

Posters
Posters are formatted for tabloid (11”x17”) paper and print 1 per page. We recommend you print posters on color copy paper that is rated at least 32lb text. Posters do not require cuts once printed.

Inserts & question cards
Inserts and question cards are formatted for 8.5”x11” paper and each print 2 per page. We recommend you print inserts and question cards on color copy paper that is rated at least 32lb text. Inserts and question cards require 6 cuts once printed.

Postcards
Postcards are formatted for 8.5”x11” paper and print 2 per page. Because postcards are handled by mail services, they must be printed on paper that is at least 80lb cover (cardstock). However, we recommend you print postcards on 100lb cover. At most print shops, there is no difference in price between 80lb and 100lb cover. Postcards require 6 cuts once printed.

May I make modifications to the PDF or jpg once I have created and downloaded it?

Unfortunately, you may not.  This is due to the licensing agreements on the photography available through MIYO. In order to make modifications to a product, you will need to return to the product in "My Library" and edit from there.

May I share the materials I’ve created in my account to a colleague’s account?

You can share what you have created to anyone or another registered MIYO user on the 'Finish' page.

How do I update my account contact information or change my password?

Click “Settings” at the top of any page and make your changes.  Once you have finished, click the “Submit” button.

What should I do if I forget my username and/or password?

If you forget your username, please use the "Contact Us" feature to notify the MIYO team. We will send you the username you provided when registering your account. If you forget your password, please use the "Forgot Password" link at the bottom of the login box. The system will generate a new password and send it to the current email address on your account.
You can use the "Forgot Password" link from the "login" popup to get your password via email. If you still have issues, you can contact us from the "Contact Us" link in the footer.

What does the bulletin board do?

The bulletin board is a place for you to share and/or browse MIYO creations.  The bulletin board is a public space where individuals and/or organizations can share and collaborate.
